Coaching

What is coaching?

Coaching is a specialist form of personal or leadership development (very often both). It is a skilled intervention designed to unlock each individual’s potential to maximise their performance and enable them to be all that they can be.

Outcomes are driven by the clients and their unique goals and issues. Implicit in the coaching process we work to:

  • Identify personal winning strategies
  • Elicit motivation for personal growth and change
  • Build self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Develop an understanding of the personal psychological ingredients that define unique
    virtue and strength
  • Develop a personal vision
  • Sharpen and hone strengths
  • Uncover self-sabotage and debunk performance inhibiting thoughts.

How is executive coaching different?

In addition to the above, executive coaching programmes are designed to:

  • Support and accelerate personal and organisational change
  • Help leaders to take a broader, deeper and longer term perspective
  • Improve business performance by creating personal stretch goals in line with corporate objectives
  • Enhance management and leadership skills
  • Support executives in making transitions to new roles, organisations or cultures
  • Support and develop leaders in managing sustainable people- and system-led change
  • Promote balance and provide a stable foundation during periods of high energy and major change
  • Increase organisational awareness
  • Be action and solutions focused
  • Be a trusted and safe outlet for conversation, ideas, hopes and fears

Coaching programmes are tailored to the needs of the client and require real commitment from the coachee. To talk through your particular situation and to evaluate whether coaching is right for you or your organisation call Jake Farr on +44 (0)2076072805 or email jake@apod.uk.com.
