Jake Farr

Jon Hall

Jake Farr is a chartered occupational psychologist and coach with 15 years’ experience of working with people, teams and organisations in varied sectors both locally and internationally, helping them to achieve remarkable things.

After graduating in Psychology from Leeds University Jake went on to read Applied Psychology at the University of Wales, College of Cardiff. Her early career was spent working in the voluntary sector, challenging the then accepted wisdom around working patterns and styles. She worked as an in-house consultant in the Post Office before becoming independent in 2000 and more recently forming Alchemy Personal & Organisational Development Ltd.

Jake is an accredited Master of Managed Change from La Marsh & Associates, and accredited to use many psychometric tools including the MBTI and Hogan Series.

In addition to her training and work in business psychology, Jake has studied and trained extensively in Tantra. Likened by scholars to Jung’s ongoing process of realisation, Tantra similarly asks us to embrace, discover and know ourselves fully. Although they approach this process from opposite sides of the world there are many ways that Tantric practices and western psychology coincide and enhance each other. Jake’s work and the inspiration for APOD is one manifestation of this.

Jake is known for working in depth with clients. She brings together her deep understanding of human psychology with techniques from the emerging field of positive psychology. Her great warmth enables her to combine both edge and lightness as she works to raise her client’s self-awareness and belief in their own unique contribution.
